Zimmer is also scoring Denis Villeneuve's third Dune film, which opens in the US on 18 December, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday. He won the Oscar for the first instalment.

Lakeshore Records has released a seven-track EP of Refree's music for Los Javis' film. It includes "La nieve", a song he co-wrote with Guitarricadelafuente, who also sings it. The film arrives on Netflix on 4 December.

The composer of The Wild Robot is scoring Walt Disney Animation Studios' new feature, directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand. It follows a teenage misfit and her mother, who find out her oddness is hidden magic. It opens in US theaters on 25 November.

At the ceremony that closes Film Fest Gent (Belgium), Daniel Pemberton won Film Composer of the Year. He was nominated for Project Hail Mary, The Drama, The Bad Guys 2 and Masters of the Universe. Jeff Russo won the television award, "Golden" (KPop Demon Hunters) took best song and Trevor Jones received the lifetime achievement award.
