Patrick Doyle

A Scot, he studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and started as an actor and musician in Kenneth Branagh's theatre company. Branagh commissioned Henry V from him in 1989, and he has scored almost all his films since. Ang Lee hired him for Sense and Sensibility, and Hamlet brought his second Oscar nomination. In animation he scored Brave for Pixar.
